How does the system work?
The Clipsal Minder system works in conjunction with
Clipsal C-Bus, an energy management system that Clipsal pioneered.
The system consists of a controller which is used
to program how and when everything operates. To make a simple analogy,
you could think of the Clipsal Minder system as the brain and C-Bus
as the nerve system that carries the messages.
C-Bus is the smart wiring system linking devices such
as switches, infrascans (motion detectors), dimmers and temperature
sensors to the Controller via inexpensive telephone wire.
In this way the system can best manage energy usage
as well as providing the convenience of control from any point.
An added benefit is that C-Bus replaces the need for
conventional wiring of the switching of light circuits, a further
cost saving.
Can the system be integrated with other equipment?
Yes, both the Clipsal Minder system and C-Bus are
able to integrate with proprietary systems such as AMX, which will
provide a sophisticated graphical interface for home automation.

Will a Clipsal Minder system match the decor of my home?
The control keys consist of attractive and decorative key switches,
which are based on Clipsal 2000 and C2000 Series products. Therefore,
key switches can be matched to power points and other electrical
accessories.
The key switches are offered in a wide range of colours such as
White Electric, Cream, Soft Grey and Desert Sand.
Alternatively, key inputs are offered in architectural finishes
such as stainless steel and brass.
Choose from attractive finishes such as our popular 2000 and C2000
Series, architectural stainless steel or brass finishes, which complement
any decor.

I can't even operate my video, so what chance do I have with the
Clipsal Minder System?
The Clipsal Minder system is installed and programmed to your needs
and specifications by an installer with the aid of a computer. However
once installed, the computer is removed and no technical knowledge
whatsoever is needed to operate the system.
