Phone home for total control
When you phone Clipsal Minder at home a voice will direct you through
the options available. Selecting a particular option or function
is easily achieved using the buttons on the phone. Phones within
the home can also be used to control the system.
Three options are available on the dial-in facility:
Review Status
By phoning home, it is possible to determine the state of a particular
device or alarm. For instance, if the irrigation system has been
left on, the event will be logged, then it is possible to turn off
the irrigation system by entering your code over the phone.
Device Control
The status of up to eight different electrical devices at home
can be checked and changed via telephone dial-in. Any device which
has an "on" or "off" state can be controlled in this way. Which
means that turning your heater, air-conditioner, watering system
and lights on or off is as simple as calling home and pressing a
button on the phone.
Mode Control
Clipsal Minder operates on a system of Modes. For example, when
you are at work, the system is set to 'away' Mode. This will automatically
activate all features that you require when not at home, like alarms,
watering, etc. Should you forget to set the 'away' Mode on the keypad
before you leave home, you can switch it on using the telephone
option.

By calling home and moving through the Modes section of the voice
prompted menu, you are able to not only find out the current Mode,
but change to a preferred Mode if required.
Clipsal Minder will call you in an emergency
During an emergency, such as a fire or break-in, your Clipsal Minder
will dial up to 16 different numbers to alert you of the situation.
When you receive the call you press at least one key on the telephone
keypad to receive the information. Your system can be set so that
it will keep trying for either a set period of time, a certain number
of tries or continuously until the call is received.
Line Grab Facility
An intruder in the home will often take the phone off the hook
so that the security system cannot make a call out. Clipsal Minder's
line grab facility however, connects to the line but disconnects
it from the house telephone/s, so that even if a phone has been
ripped from the wall, a call will still be made.
