Jet Electrics Pty Ltd was first established in Darwin in 1975 and continued to trade until 1996 when it was dissolved as a result of the original partners choosing to move in their different directions.

The main activities of Jet Electrics Pty Ltd involved mechanical and electrical contracting and maintenance, also carrying out minor civil and building directly related to the extent of their works. The Northern Territory and Commonwealth Governments were their main clients alongside several established building contractors.

After some time away gaining experience in other areas, Jet Electrics was re-established in 1998 by one of the founding partners, Tom Dickson, with the vision of building upon, and strengthening the original reputation of jet's being a quality electrical and mechanical contractor.

Tom Dickson provides the foundation for jet's expertise. Tom commenced his electrical apprenticeship in Scotland, and through his involvement with Jet Electrics Pty Ltd, gained experience in estimating and managing small to major projects with an individual value up to $10 million and involving the following systems:

Through this experience, the jet's team have also gained expertise in services to buildings with complex electrical systems, and the construction of power generation and bulk fuel facilities in urban and remote areas.

The jet's team is embracing new technologies in both products and services. Gaining accreditation in Cat 5 Data/computer cabling, C-Bus control and Minder control installations and programming has allowed us to expand on the services and products we can supply and maintain. Thus allowing us to provide complete electrical and automation installation for both commercial and residential applications.

  N.T. Housing Commission.

  companies and developers.

jet's received a nominated entry in the meritorious lighting awards, South Australia, 1995 for Category D- Environmental Lighting of the State Reference Library, Department of Legislative Assembly, Parliament House Darwin.
